How To Use The WILD PLACES Map
Using the WILD PLACES interactive map couldn't be easier! However, we've created this simple guide should you need a little extra help.

MAP ZOOM - Either use the slide bar or click on the plus or minus symbol to ZOOM in or out. |

CATEGORY SELECT - Click here to refine your search by CATEGORY. You'll find numerous sub-sections to choose from. |
 |
GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION - Type in the name of the country, region, town etc. you are interested in. ( Note: Searching for actual destination names e.g. Lakeview B&B or Royal Hotel in this search box is not possible. Please see 4. TAG SEARCH below). |
 |
TAG SEARCH - You can use this search box to type in place names (e.g Lakeview B&B) or animal names (e.g. Polecat, tiger etc.) to further refine your search. This searches for TAG keywords used in the WILD PLACES profile pages. |

SEARCH - Click here to search. |

MAP HELP - Click here to return to this page should you require a reminder of how to use the map. |

SEARCH RESET - This is a very useful button! Click this to RESET the map search each time you want to look for something new. |
 |
MAP TYPE - Click here to change the map view. You can choose between MAP, MAP with Terrain or SATELLITE views depending on your preference. |

LINK - Use this to share a link to a specific map search position with your friends. Simply cut and paste the link into your email, Twitter update or Facebook page. |

MAP CATEGORIES - You can use these tabs to quickly find specific areas of interest. Simply click on the appropriate tab and only the relevant pins will be shown on the map. |
Other ways to move around the map...
You don't have to use the map search facility to move around the map. You can also move the map around by simply pressing and holding your left mouse button and then moving your mouse.
Getting detailed information about a location...
Click on a colour coded pin to reveal a short summary about a particular location. Click on VIEW PROFILE on a summary to reveal the full profile including images, videos, lots of links and other useful information.
