8, 60 minute live programmes.
A new format this year spreading the eight programmes 8 weeks. Simon visits Svalbard in the high arctic to see Barnacle Geese start their migration to the UK.
Springwatch - Close Encounters
1 off, 60 minute pre-recorded programme.
Simon reveals some of the tricks of the trade that enables him to get 'up close and personal' with the UK's wildlife. He also shares some of his favourite encounters with wild creatures and shows us how to get a closer look at wildd otters.

A twist on Big Cat Diary showing live footage from the Masai Mara, using cutting edge infrared and thermal imaging cameras to show animal behaviour that has never been seen before, especially on live TV.
Autumnwatch
8, 60 minute live programmes.
In week one Simon visits Petworth House in West Sussex for the Fallow deer rut then moves to Birmingham's urban jungle to see muntjac deer. In week 2 Simon travels to Anglesey to watch Ravens and finishes with a dive off the Dorset coast to film congar eels.

Simon shows us some of the spectacular wildlife that can be found within the British Isles.
