Paramo Torres Sleeves

Another top idea from Paramo, and, to be honest, one of which I was very sceptical. The Arm Warmers may look a bit weird, but boy, do they work.

Paramo designed the arms having studied heat loss on the human body and finding that almost a third of the skin’s surface area is represented by our arms. That's a big area to lose heat through. Add to that, the body's tendency to start sacrificing the extremities when things get tough (in really cold conditions, blood flow to the fingers, nose, toes and then arms feet and legs, closes down to preserve core body temperature), and you have a very good reason for arm insulation.

What I really love about this piece of kit is that it screws up into a tiny ball, but has a huge impact on how warm you are. I find them especially handy for protracted waiting sessions in a cold breeze.
